Wetumpka police arrested a Millbrook man and a Montgomery man Sunday and charged them with robbing the Conoco convenience store in Wetumpka.

Curtis Leveal Reeves, 20, of Montgomery and Anthony Lamar Murphy, 34, of Millbrook were arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, said Deputy Chief Anthony Crenshaw. Both are in the Elmore County Jail, he said.

A man entered the store and demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint, he said. Police identified Reeves as the "armed participant" who took $338 and left on foot, while Murphy has been identified as the driver of the getaway vehicle, which was parked outside the store. The men were separated after the robbery, he said, and taken into custody separately about 45 minutes or an hour after the incident.

Nobody suffered any injuries.
