MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A Montgomery YMCA is one of many charities across the state to benefit from Alabama coach Nick Saban's "Nick's Kids" charity.
The coach and his wife gave away more than $450,000 dollars during the Nick's Kids luncheon.
The Cleveland Avenue YMCA received some of that money which will go towards afternoon programs including art and music classes.
"It enables them to be able to function at a higher level than normally...and also keep them active during the summer months with something to do," said Cleveland Ave. YMCA Board Chairman Willie Anderson.
Coach Saban has visited the Cleveland Ave. YMCA before. He spoke to kids in the summer program in 2008.
