MPS opens registration for Pre-K programs

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - As many students start school on Monday, Montgomery Public Schools will open registration for pre-kindergarten programs.

If you want to prepare your little one for school, registration will be held from August 9th-13th at the selected program sites.

To qualify, students must be four years old on or before September 2th. You must have your child's immunization certificate, Social Security Card and proof of residence.

After registration, students will be screened for eligibility. Availability is limited and each school site will only enroll 18 students.

PARTICIPATING PROGRANS:

  • Brewbaker Primary
  • Carver Elementary
  • Harrison Elementary
  • Martin Luther King Elementary
  • McKee Elementary
  • Southlawn Elementary

    The Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) has sent a memorandum to school system superintendents state-wide about the agency’s plan to assist all public schools in testing school drinking water for lead contamination.
