Sponsored by ALFA Insurance, the River Region Ethics in Business and Public Service Awards program was established in 2009 by the Samaritan Counseling Center, Inc., in collaboration with Auburn University at Montgomery's School of Business and School of Sciences.

The program honors businesses and business leaders in the tri-county area that stand apart for their dedication to the highest ethical standards in their approach to the workplace. Under the supervision of faculty and graduate students in the business and public administration programs at Auburn Montgomery, the ethical policies and business practices of nominees are researched and then an independent selection committee made up of community leaders review the final academic reports and select finalists.

The awards luncheon is open to the public. To purchase tickets and/or reserve tables for a group, contact Alice Williams at the Samaritan Counseling Center at 334-262-7787, ext. 200. For more information, visit www.riverregionethics.com.
