Troy Cable expanding with $26 million grant

OZARK, Ala. (AP) - Troy Cablevision is announcing a $26 million grant for a project that will bring more than 100 jobs and provide connectivity between thousands of homes and businesses in four counties.

The grant will assist in a $34 million project that deploys a fiber-optic netweork to provide a new broadband route between Pike, Crenshaw, Coffee and Dale counties. Company officials say the project is expected to be completed over the next three years.

At least 145 jobs will be created in contracting, accounting, service, installation and technical support.
