MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Alabama is preparing to launch a $25 million revolving loan program in December to help businesses make upgrades that save energy and reduce operating costs.
Gov. Bob Riley says the program, called Alabama Sustainable and Verifiable Energy Savings, will be administered by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs using federal stimulus funds.
Projects eligible for loans for energy-efficient upgrades will include heating and air conditioning systems, windows and doors, electrical systems, water heating systems, lighting and insulation.
