MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A fire that broke out in a packing company on East 5th street in Montgomery, near Ann Street and just south of I-85, is "under control" according to responders on the scene.

The fire broke out at Piedmont National, a packing company that contained cardboard, plastic and other combustible material.  The Piedmont National building was destroyed, but no nearby businesses appeared to suffer any damage.

Two 18-wheelers parked near the building were heavily damaged.

It took them 1 hour and 29 minutes to get it under control. Investigators continue to look for a cause to the blaze.
