Tuesday marks one week since a water main broke and flooded one of Montgomery's oldest businesses.
"We plan to serve the community as well as we always have." An emotional Cindy Owens made that promise a week ago. Today she says they are working hard to get back in business. An 8 inch water main broke flooding the Bishop-Parker Furniture Store. Nearly everything in the store was damaged because the water leaked through multiple ceilings and floors. "It's still difficult to say what the outcome will be, but it looks like a mess," added Owens.
The store was able to salvage some pieces and plan to hold a sale in a month or so. The showroom is closed to shoppers but the business office is open, as is Bishop Parker's downtown location.
