Auburn and Alabama Oct 2. games to be broadcast

MONTGOMERY, AL - Alabama and Auburn fans will get the chance to see their favorite team on television again on Oct. 2.


The 17th-ranked Auburn football team's game against Louisiana-Monroe in Jordan-Hare Stadium on Oct. 2 will be televised by ESPNU. Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m. CT.

It will be the eighth all-time meeting between the two teams, with Auburn winning the first seven contests in the series. The last meeting came in 2008, with Auburn earning a 34-0 victory in the season opener.

The game will be Auburn's fourth straight on the ESPN family of networks and will be the first day game of the season.


The Southeastern Conference office announced Monday that CBS Sports will televise the Alabama-Florida football game on Saturday, October 2, from Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. The kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. (CST).

The Florida game will mark the Tide's fourth national television appearance of the 2010 season and the second on CBS.  The network will televise the game with Arkansas this Saturday, Sept. 25, from Fayetteville, Ark. The Tide has also appeared on national television against Duke (ABC) and Penn State (ESPN) this season.
