Arrest made in Friday morning Auburn murder

AUBURN, AL (WSFA) - The Auburn Police Division arrested Prince Marcus Centille Nellon, 27, of Opelika, and charged him with Murder in the death of Kressman Kerval Jackson, 24, Opelika Friday afternoon.

Nellon was apprehended at a residence in Opelika with the assistance of the Opelika Police Department, and transported to the Lee County Detention Center where he is being held.

Investigators responded to an apartment complex in the 400 block of North Dean Road around 1:30am where they found Jackson shot once in the chest. He was transported to East Alabama Medical Center where he was pronounced dead approximately 45 minutes later.

The investigation of this case, including the motive, continues.
