AUM hosts "Basketball Family, Friend and Fans Day"

MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- With the start of the 2010-11 men's and women's basketball season less than a month away, the Auburn University at Montgomery Athletic Department will host "Basketball Family, Friends and Fans Day" on Saturday at the AUM Physical Education Complex.

The event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., with the introduction of both the Senators and Lady Senators, as well as an inter-squad scrimmage by each team.

Following the scrimmages, fans will have an opportunity to personally choose their seats in the new Courtside Club, a section of 304 new cushioned, chair-backed seats on the home side of the court. The new seat additions will allow fans to view home games from a new level of comfort, featuring increased aisle space, upholstered seats and cup holders on the armrests, all for the low cost of just $75 for the year.

The seat selection process for Saturday is simple. Each fan will receive a numbered ticket that will be drawn one at a time during the reception to determine the order seats are chosen. Once your number is drawn, you may purchase as many of the courtside club seats as you wish.

Fans may also choose to support AUM athletics by becoming a member of the Senator Athletic Club. Eight different levels of giving are available in the Senators Athletic Club, ranging from a $25 gift to a $2,500 contribution.

Festivities on Saturday begin at 11 a.m. and are scheduled to conclude at 1 p.m.
