Auburn robbery victim pleads in gambling case

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - An Auburn man listed as the victim of a robbery at his home in April has ended up being a defendant as well.

It turns out Michael Kinser had a slot machine and six gaming tables in his home when everyone in the house was robbed by two men.

Kinser was fined $500 and placed on probation Monday after he pleaded guilty to possession of an illegal gambling device.

The slot machine and gaming tables were confiscated, but he was allowed to keep his playing cards and chips.

The two men accused of robbery were indicted by a Lee County grand jury and await trial in the criminal term that begins Nov. 8.
