Jeter and Robinson named QB Club Players of the Week

MONTGOMERY- The Montgomery Quarterback Club has announced its Players of the Week for games of October 7-8-9. Chris Jeter from Trinity Presbyterian School is the Private School Player of the Week and T.C. Robinson from Tallassee High School is the Public School Player of the Week. Both players will be honored at the Club's next meeting on October 19. Larry Blakeney, head football coach at Troy University, will be the featured speaker.

Chris Jeter, a senior wide receiver, caught 3 passes for 87 yards in Trinity's 35-22 win over Bayside Academy. One of the completions went 55 yards for a touchdown. Jeter also scored a rushing touchdown and threw the key blocks that led to two additional Trinity scores.

Trinity, coached by Randy Ragsdale, is 6-1 on the season and hosts T.R. Miller on Friday night.

T.C. Robinson, a senior linebacker, recorded 21 tackles in Tallassee's 21-20 win over Russell County. Robinson also returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown.

Tallassee, coached by Rodney Dollar, is 5-1 on the season and travels to Tuskegee on Friday to play Booker T. Washington.

 The Montgomery Quarterback Club meets at the Montgomery Country Club. The social hour begins at 5:30 followed by dinner at 6:30 and the program at 7:00. Guests are welcome at Quarterback Club meetings but guests must make an advance reservation. Reservations may be made by sending an email to the Club at mgmqbc@aol.com or calling Perry Hooper, Jr. at 409-3119. Guests pay $30 at the door.
