SELMA, AL (WSFA) - A fight that broke out on a school bus in Dallas County Monday afternoon ended with one student being arrested and three others hurt.

Officials are still investigating the incident and are not ready to release many details.

The bus driver tried to break up the fight and found himself involved in the altercation. Another bus driver and a teacher passing by also pulled over to help.

By the time the skirmish was over, all three adults were hurt. One of the bus drivers was hurt badly enough to be taken to the hospital.

Dallas County sheriff's deputies also arrested one student.

"I can't tell you how many people were involved in the fight on the bus..." said Dallas County Sheriff Harris Huffman, but he would confirm that the student in question was taken to the county detention facility.

No formal charges have been filed against the student, since the investigation is ongoing.

The Dallas County School System is conducting an investigation of its own.
