OPP, AL (WSFA) - Covington County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating after a man was struck in the head with a cinder block.

Deputies responded to a call in reference to a past domestic incident on Charolais Road near Opp. The victim, located at Mizell Hospital, had apparently been in a fight with another person.

After investigating, authorities with the Sheriff's Office arrested Jody Warren Henderson, 39, of Opp for Domestic Violence (Assault) 2nd Degree and Violation of Probation.

During the course of the case, it was determined that Henderson had struck the victim on the head with a portion of a cinder block.

Henderson has a $10,000 bond for the Domestic Violence charge and currently has no bond on the Violation of Probation charge.
