Millbrook, AL (WSFA) - Tenth grade English class can be tough, but one Elmore County teacher tries her best to make it fun and educational at the same time. Tiffany Walton has been teaching for four years and this is her first year at Stanhope Elmore High School. "As a child I'd play school and I always wanted to be the teacher," Walton said. "I also had some wonderful teachers who made a huge impact on me."
A parent nominated Walton for our Class Act Award. The parent says she's not only a great English teacher, but also teaches them lessons in life. Walton says she just wants her kids ready for that next step in life. "I want them to know at the 10th grade level the things they learn in this class can be used in other classes. This will also help them after their done with school when its time to hit the job market."
She knew a long time ago she wanted to be a teacher, and now she's trying to get her students ready for the future. Congratulations Ms. Tiffany Walton from Stanhope Elmore High School in Millbrook, you're a real Class Act.
