Wouldn't you love to stop those obnoxious telemarketing calls - that usually happen when you're relaxing at home? You now have a chance to do that very thing. Register over the internet or call a toll free number - to get on the federal government's new "do not call list".
Millions of people have signed up since the list was created three years ago. The federal trade commission says the program's web site sometimes gets as many as a thousand visits a second.
You can sign up by logging on to www.donotcall.gov . You can also make complaints there.
A phone line has also been set up to allow people to register for the list. It's 1-888-382-1222.
