MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Some of the most macho men in Montgomery are embracing their feminine side - and wearing pink for a good cause.

This week all the Montgomery fire fighters will don pink shirts to raise money for breast cancer research. The back of the shirts say Montgomery fire fighters care enough to wear pink.

For many, the project hits a personal note.

"My mother-in-law is a 23 year survivor," said Capt. Ronnie Bozeman. " The gentleman to my left, here, his mother-in-law is a survivor, also," he continued. Bozeman said ten firefighters in the city of Montgomery have been personally affected by the disease, including one man who recently lost his sister to the disease.

The shirts are $10.00 each and can be purchased at the fire stations on Carmichael Road and North Court Street. All proceeds will go directly to fund breast cancer research.
