Dalraida Elementary Teacher a Class Act

Posted by: Judd Davis - bio | email

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - In Ms. Susan Bentley's  3rd grade class at Dalraida Elementary School, the students are learning more than just the ABC's.   She wants her kids to learn skills that will help them outside the classroom too.   "We really focus a lot on manners," Bentley said.   "It's something they do in third grade.   They do things like put a napkin in their lap, things that'll be useful when they are adults."

Ms. Bentley has been in the Montgomery public school system for 8-years.   She knew a long time ago she wanted to be a teacher.    "I love teaching.   One of my former teachers Ms. Avery inspired me, she loved her students and I just decided I wanted to be a teacher."

The person who nominated Ms. Bentley for our Class Act Award says she makes learning an  adventure and really knows how to make a child smile.  Congratulations Ms. Susan Bentley from Dalraida Elementary School in Montgomery, you're a real Class Act.
