Ex-trooper's Plea

Hello from the WSFA 12 Newsroom -

A 77-year old retired Alabama State Trooper enters a plea in a civil rights era shooting in Marion, Ala. in Perry County.  Bonnard Fowler of Geneva, Ala. was originally charged with murder, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter.  You may be surprised by the length of the sentence he'll serve in his home county jail.

In Auburn, more testimony in the trial of Courtney Lockhart.  He's accused of murdering an Auburn University co-ed, Lauren Burk in 2007.  Our reporter has been in the Lee County Justice Center all day and will have the very latest on today's testimony - starting tonight at 5 p.m.

Montgomery police locked down a Montgomery private school this morning after a report of a home invasion and shooting nearby.  We'll tell you how it all ended.
