ASU Football moving up in polls

MONTGOMERY - Alabama State University's four-game win streak and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Eastern Division Championship have pushed the Hornets up in several polls this week.

The Hornets (7-3/6-3 SWAC) are sixth in the latest Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) Football Championship Series (FCS) Division I poll.  The Hornets compiled 92 total points and trail fellow-SWAC member, Jackson State, by seven points.  ASU defeated JSU just a few weeks ago.

The Hornets are ranked seventh in both the Boxtorow.com FCS HBCU Coaches Poll and the Urban Sports News (USN) Black College Football Poll.

ASU compiled 46 points in the FCH HBCU Coaches Poll and once again trail sixth-place Jackson State by four points.

ASU will have this week off as they prepare for the 87th Turkey Day Classic against Tuskegee University on Thursday, Nov. 25th.  The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. and will be televised by ESPNU.
