Montgomery Police release information on shooting death

The following is a news release from Montgomery police.

On Friday, November 19, 2010, at approximately 2:31 p. m. patrol units responded to the report of a subject shot in the 400 block of Ross Street.  Upon arrival they did locate the victim, David Hall Age 18 of 1439 5th Street, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.  This victim was transported to Jackson's emergency room with life threatening injuries.

On November 19, 2010 at 9:01 p.m. the victim died as a result of his injuries.

The exact motive for this incident is still under investigation, however, the victim and suspect do appear to know each other and there may have been an ongoing dispute.  

At this time the suspect is not in custody, but detectives do have strong leads that are being followed up on.
