Prattville man dies in motorcycle crash

ECLECTIC, AL - Alabama State Troopers confirm the death of a motorcyclist over the weekend.

The crash happened around 2:35 p.m. Sunday on Alabama Highway 170 about a half mile from Eclectic.

John Lee Beckwith, 33, of Prattville was killed when the 2005 Honda CBR 600 he was riding left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Officers said Beckwith was pronounced dead at the scene.

State Troopers continue to investigate the reason for the crash.
