Missing 11-Year-Old Kinston Boy Found Safe

An 11-year-old boy missing since Monday afternoon from the Coffee County town of Kinston, is back home and safe.

State Troopers and Kinston police say Robert Dewayne Beck, Jr. was last seen in the company of Jason Grover Fillingim sometime between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 14th on Pierce Street in Kinston. Police say Fillingim apparently took him to a friend's house in Opp and left him there. Tuesday afternoon, when the friend, who police call "Mike" took the boy back to his home in Kinston.

"Mike" won't face any charges, but Jason Grover Fillingim could face federal kidnapping charges when he is caught. The Alabama Bureau Of Investigation and the Federal Bureau Of Investigation are also looking into the matter.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
