MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Former Alabama and NFL linebacker Keith McCants has been arrested in Florida and charged with cocaine possession.
Police say McCants was arrested early Wednesday morning as he left a St. Petersburg strip club.
Police who stopped the 42-year former first round draft pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers say they saw a crack pipe in the center console of his Chevrolet Tahoe.
Police also found one piece of crack in the purse of McCants' female passenger.
McCants was taken to the Pinellas County Jail. Bail was set at $2,000.
A former University of Alabama standout, McCant's legal troubles since leaving the NFL have included charges of cocaine possession, bad-check writing and theft.
