MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
A new company is 'taking off' in South Alabama as Covington County lands dozens of new jobs.
50 new jobs are coming in Andalusia but that figure could expand to 80 in the near future.
The name of the business is Support Systems Andalusia Alabama. In a nutshell, employees will design and install computer software in military aircraft primarily the C-130s.
The location of the new business will be in what's known as the hanger number one building at the South Alabama Regional Airport.
"We liked the facility and feel there is an educated labor pool here that can come work part time and full time," said company founder and CEO John Zoltak.
Support Systems has already started operations at the airport.
We're told the average pay will be around $15 an hour. SSAA is based out of Melbourne, Florida.
