Possible human remains found in Geneva County.

Geneva, AL (WSFA) - The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is working on a case involving possible human remains discovered in the trunk of a burned vehicle in rural Geneva County.

Game and fish officers with the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources located the vehicle, which fits the description of a vehicle that was reported missing Dec. 16 along with its owner, Mia Chay Brown of Holmes County, Fla. A possible suspect is in custody in the Holmes County Jail, and ABI investigators along with investigators from Holmes County are en route to the jail at this time to interview the suspect.

The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, the State Fire Marshals and the Geneva County Sheriff's Office are working in conjunction with ABI on this case.
