'Bama finishes final practice before bowl

ORLANDO, FL. The University of Alabama football team completed its final full practice leading up to the Capital One Bowl on Thursday afternoon at Dr. Phillips High School.

The Crimson Tide worked in shells for just under two hours to finish their final review of No. 7 Michigan State, who they will face at 12 p.m. (CST) on Saturday, January 1, at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

"I think we have had a great week of practice," Alabama running back Mark Ingram said. "Our practices have been some of the best of the year and the whole team seems to have urgency about what they are doing. We know there is still something significant left for us to accomplish, and we are looking forward to playing our best game of the season on Saturday against a very good Michigan State team."

Following Thursday's practice, the Alabama team went on a shopping spree with their Best Buy gift card they received as bowl gifts.

"It was a lot of fun with everyone trying to decide what they wanted," linebacker Courtney Upshaw said. "There was so much to choose from it was hard to make a decision, but it felt like Christmas all over again."

Coach Saban's radio show will be held on Thursday evening (7-9 p.m. ET) in the atrium of the Renaissance Orlando Resort and is open to the public. The Crimson Tide will hold closed walk-through on Friday before Saturday's 12 p.m. (CST) kickoff with Michigan State.
