MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Nick Saban, head coach for the reigning 2009 BCS National Champion Crimson Tide football team, is headed back to the big game for the second year in a row, albeit for different reasons.
The University of Alabama's athletics department Thursday confirmed Saban's planned trip to Glendale, Arizona.
Saban will assist ESPN in the network's coverage of the game, which will be played between Bama's arch-rival Auburn Tigers and the University of Oregon Ducks.
Saban has an analysis of Auburn like few others, having coached teams against the Tigers for four years.
Alabama's current head coach has a record of 2-2 against Auburn.
Saban will be in Glendale on January 9th and 10th.
The Tigers and Ducks meet at 7:30pm CST on January 10th.
