Overnight fire claims two lives

An overnight fire claims two lives, and badly burns third victim.

Captain Guthrie with the Montgomery Fire Department tells WSFA 12 News the call went out at 12:30 Sunday morning.

The fire sparked at 41 Polaris Drive near Air Base Boulevard, killing a 17 year old male and a 23 year old female. 

Guthrie tells WSFA 12 News a 15 year old survived the blaze by crawling out of the trailer, and to a neighbors house.  He suffered burns to his arms and hands, and is currently receiving care at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to put to the blaze.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
