Montgomery City Councilman Back In Court

Domestic violence charges against Montgomery City Councilman Terrance Dawson were thrown out of court Monday. Dawson agreed to plead guilty to violating a restraining order, pay court costs and a fine of 250 dollars and attend anger management classes.

The charges stemmed from a complaint filed by Dawson's former girlfriend -- Angler Trawick. She said Dawson assaulted her at his home in May. Dawson had asked for a jury trial in Montgomery District Court following his conviction in city court before reaching the plea agreement.
