MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Nearly two years after being arrested in the murder case of Quante Armstrong, the man responsible for the homicide has pleaded guilty.

Steven Anthony Davis, 24, was sentenced for the April 20, 2009 homicide. The incident happened on Alexander Street in Montgomery.

Armstrong and Davis's brother were apparently arguing over money when the suspect walked up, pulled a gun and shot the victim. Armstrong, hit twice in the back, died a short time later.

Police found and took Davis into custody two day's later.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's office says Davis will serve 30 years in prison.
