It was a bumpy morning in central Alabama as a band of heavy rain moved through the area. Montgomery Emergency Management leader, Anita Paterson, says the rain prompted street flooding near Robert E. Lee High School. Several people had to be pulled from several cars and one family had to be pulled from their home at the intersection of McQueen Street and Ann Street. There are no reports of injuries.
The Prattville Mayor's office says they also had heavy rain there all morning long, but everything is fine there, and the first day of school was a success.
