Just over a week after his successor was sworn into the state's highest law enforcement office, Troy King confirmed he's going back into private practice. Wednesday he announced the formation of a new law firm: King and Nix, LLC.
King and longtime Montgomery attorney H.E. ("Chip") Nix said the firm will represent clients in litigated cases and before governmental departments, agencies and boards.
"I have always been proud to fight for the people of Alabama as a group," King said. "As I begin this new chapter of my career, I will continue to do so...only now I will be doing my fighting for one Alabamian at a time."
King expressed his confidence in Chip Nix's ability. "His current and past clients know how capable Chip is," King explained. "I should know. I am one of them."
