10 Commandments Ruling Sent To All State Supreme Court Justices

Copies of the federal ruling that orders the Ten Commandments monument out of the state judicial complex were served on more high state officials Wednesday. Eight associate justices of the State Supreme Court got the order telling them the monument must go by August 20th or the state could face hefty fines.

A plaintiff's attorney says this assures the court that the associate justices know what could happen, since they decide what happens in the judicial complex. However, a spokesman for Chief Justice Roy Moore says Federal Judge Myron Thompson is quote "going ballistic and overreaching his authority." He calls it a tactic to invoke fear by intimidating public officials.
