Congresswoman Martha Roby tours Montgomery Health Care Center

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Congresswoman Martha Roby has taken a clear position on the president's health care bill. She voted to repeal it. I will always look at all sides of the equation, " Roby said as she took a tour of the Montgomery Primary Health Center. The facility serves 14 thousand patients each year. Nearly half are either uninsured or underinsured.

"It has been very good for us,"  said Health Services CEO Bernell Mapp talking about the impact of the president's plan. He says it has helped fund several projects including millions of dollars for facility improvements.

He added, "I am just excited about this push for improving primary care services."

Roby agrees health care reform is needed.  She disagrees with the current plan. Many of the biggest changes in health care reform, including a mandate that everyone buy health insurance, won't kick in until 2014.
