Dangerous Crossings - Tonight on WSFA 12 News

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Our investigative reporter Samuel King has been spending his time digging through data on Alabama's most dangerous railroad crossings, and there are many.

Samuel recently traveled to the city of Jemison in Chilton County to put a face to all those numbers. There, he talked with the mother of Matt Jones, a bright 16-year-old whose whole life was ahead of him until a horrific crash in October of 2004.

Like many crossings in the state, there were no lights or bars - no warning - as Jones crossed the track. Seven years later have things changed?

Samuel will explain where your tax dollars are going and why many crossings have never been upgraded.

Join us for this special report at 10:00. Then, log onto our webstory on WSFA.COM and share the location of dangerous crossings in your neighborhoods.
