HEADLAND, AL (WSFA) - Firefighters in the Wiregrass worked to put out a huge fire in Henry County.  It started Friday afternoon in Downtown Headland, and it appeared to spread quickly, affecting a number of businesses.

It happened on West Church Street, just off Headland's town square.  The Headline Fire Department had to call in help from other communities, including Abbeville and Dothan.  This was a large building a former factory, more than 50,000 square feet in size.  It housed several businesses including a dinner theatre, a church and cabinet shops.

There's no official cause of the fire yet.    State Fire Marshall Ed Paulk told WSFA 12 News his office they will start their investigation on Saturday.
