Good Morning!

Today marks the one year anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion. So much has happened since then including the worst oil spill in U.S. history. We have live reports this morning from Gulf Shores with reaction from business owners and tourists. See for yourself how they are doing along the coast.

And in local politics, there's a new Montgomery city councilor this morning in District 7! We'll talk to the winner of Tuesday's election and get his plans for the future. That includes another election in just 4 months!

Also this morning on Today in Alabama, the latest on the Toomer's Corner trees case. The man accused of poisoning those trees is scheduled to be in court today. We're told his lawyer wants a plea deal and no more jail time. WSFA 12 News will be there to cover the proceedings for you.
