The League of the South, the premier Southern nationalist organization, applauds Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore for refusing to remove the Ten Commandments monument from the Alabama Judicial Building.
To show support for Judge Moore and his defense of the supremacy of God's law and the rights of the Sovereign State of Alabma against a tyrannical federal judiciary, the League of the South willhold a rally on the steps of the Alabama State Capitol in Montgomery on Wednesday, 20 August, from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. The League will hold a press conference at the same venue at 3:30 p.m.
The federal court-imposed deadline for the removal of the monument comes at 5:00 p.m. on the 20th. Therefore, the League of the South calls upon all who wish to protect the monument to come to Montgomery for this rally. Dr. Michael Hill, league president, said," As Alabamians, we take seriously our motto, 'We dare defend our rights.' We will be there on 20 August to do just that. Judge Moore has taken his stand. Now it's time for the Christian people of Alabama, and elsewhere, to do the same. Giving only lip service to Judge Moore's courageous act is not enough. It is our duty to be there to prevent federal officials from committing a grave injustice against the rights of the people of this great and sovereign state. May God grant us boldness in our endeavors."
