MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Our editorial "Cut the Debt" received quite a bit of response.
One viewer emailed "We need to end the Federal Reserve. We cannot allow them to continue to print money out of thin air, with nothing to back it – they are destroying the dollar. The dollar is worth pennies compared to the 1913 dollar, the year Federal Reserve was created."
Another viewer emailed "Until we, as citizens, take running our government as seriously as we do the Super Bowl, we will continue to get what we deserve."
Regarding our editorial "Statewide Education Improvement" one viewer emailed: "We need to have education based on something more stable than sales tax. We have needed constitutional changes to fix this for years."
And our "Library Services" editorial received this response from Rebecca Mitchell, the Director of the Alabama Public Library Service: "We have 219 public libraries in our state and they are the unsung heroes of their communities. With limited funding, they provide services for all regardless of their economic conditions."
We appreciate your topic suggestions and editorial feedback!
