Georgiana, Alabama (WSFA 12 News) - When it comes to being involved at Georgiana School, it's a family affair for teacher JoEtta Wright. "My family has always been in the school system," Wright said. "My dad was a bus driver for 17 years and my mom spent 25 years in the lunchroom. My sister also teaches 6th grade here right down the hall."
Ms. Wright teaches 6th grade math and science. She's been in the classroom for 11 years, and came back to her home school in Georgiana two years ago. She knows it's her job to get her students ready for the future. "By 6th grade you try to mold them, prepare them for middle school and high school. They have a lot of questions, but they're hard workers and they want to learn."
And they are learning from one of the best. Ms. JoEtta Wright from Georgiana School, this week's Class Act.
