Have you ever wanted to know what makes up a thunderstorm?  Do you want to learn how to spot severe storms?  How to measure hail?  What makes a tornado so destructive? Well now is your chance to learn how to help the Doppler 12 StormVision Weather Team!
The Doppler12 StormVision Weather Team in conjunction with the National Weather Service in Birmingham and Elmore County would like to personally invite you to the Skywarn Spotter Training Seminar in Elmore County.

Join us for the class on Tuesday, February 22 beginning at 6 P.M. at the Elmore County Courthouse, 100 East Commerce Street, Wetumpka.  The two hour long seminar will educate you on spotting severe weather and reporting it to the right agencies.  You'll realize that your reports may help to save lives for those in the path of storms you report.

The class is free and open to residents ages 12 and higher of Elmore and surrounding counties.  Space is limited, so please register for the class to ensure a seat at this event.  You can do so by phone or email.

Contact: Kim Trost, Elmore County Program Coordinator & Public Information Officer

Phone: 334-567-6451

We hope to see you for the Skywarn training class on the 22nd!
