Alabama Falls From Party School Rankings

The University of Alabama is out of the Top Ten and school administrators are glad to hear it. The Capstone was not to be found in this year's ranking of the Top Ten party schools in the nation. It's a list put together annually by the Princeton Review, and last year Alabama ranked third in the nation as a place to party.

New Alabama President Robert Witt said earlier this year that he is emphasizing academic excellence. He said the party school ranking drew wide notice, while little attention was paid to Alabama having five students named to the USA Today All-USA college academic team. In this year's party school rankings, Colorado was Number One, followed by the University of Wisconsin and Indiana University
