Gas prices are on the rise--again!

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) --Never before has Eric Daniels' job been more difficult. Daniels is a pizza delivery man in Montgomery.

"It cuts into your money," said Daniels.

Two weeks ago it took $100.00 to fill up his truck.

Now $120.00 and the painful part is he isn't getting reimbursed dollar-for-dollar.

"Like when the gas prices go up, the reimbursement stays the same. Sometimes they help, sometimes they don't," Daniels said.

Just in one week the price of gasoline in Alabama has shot up 17 cents, 9 cents overnight.

The prevailing view in the oil and gas industry is that it isn't the price of oil that's causing the shake-up but rather the shake-up, the uncertainty in the Middle East primarily Egypt and now Libya.

Put it another way there is a concern it will be too dangerous for oil tankers to simply pick up the crude in the region.

But that's little use for Daniels who must eat the extra cost of delivering those hot pizzas.

"I'm not angry. I just don't understand it all."

Mr. Daniels says he will more than likely start looking right way for another job because he's losing money in his delivery job.
