TROY, AL (WSFA) - WSFA 12 News has confirmed Monday's crash on U.S. 231 in Pike County has now claimed three lives, two women and a 15 month old child.
The crash happened Monday evening around 5:15 p.m. three miles north of Brundidge.
State Troopers tell WSFA 12 News the initial investigation indicates the car driven by 38-year-old Teresa Adams of Brundidge crossed the center line into oncoming traffic. That's when troopers say it struck the vehicle driven by 24-year-old Brittany Shepard Pugh of Troy.
Pugh was pronounced dead on the scene. Her 15 month old child was air lifted to Children's Hospital in Birmingham where he later died.
Adams was transported to a Montgomery hospital where she later died.
State Troopers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
