Former Lt. Governors Support Riley Tax Plan

Governor Bob Riley Governor Bob Riley

Four former lieutenant governors who ran unsuccessfully for governor have joined forces to promote Governor Riley's Tax and Accountability Plan. Republican Steve Windom and Democrats Jere Beasley, George McMillan, and Bill Baxley praised the republican governor's plan at a Statehouse news conference Thursday.

Baxley says this is one of the few things the four have ever agreed about. He says they agree because they all love Alabama and want to improve the state for future generations.

Beasley says the September 9th vote on Riley's plan is probably the most important vote Alabamians have made in the last 50 years.

WSFA 12 News is working to help you make up your mind on Alabama's Decision. You can find information on both sides by clicking on Governor Riley's picture, on our homepage or selecting this link.

You can also submit questions for either side which we will be answered LIVE on WSFA during an hour long special report starting at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 2nd
