Waterspout Spotted In Mobile

A waterspout moved over downtown Mobile Friday afternoon, bringing torrential rains.

Fire Department officials reported no immediate damage from the storm. The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for southwest Alabama until 3:30 p.m.. The waterspout was first seen near Pinto Island, near downtown. It moved northwest at about 20 miles per hour, headed into north Mobile County.
