MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- The No. 2 Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team only 14 games in a 9-0 victory over Georgetown College Thursday at the AUM Tennis Complex.
With the win, the Senators improved to 7-1 on the season, while the Tigers fell to 0-4 on the year.
AUM took a 3-0 lead after doubles, as sophomores Boris Obama and Loic Didavi cruised to an 8-2 victory at the No. 1 spot, while the duo of sophomores Bruno Savi and Claudio Andrade at the No. 2 position and the freshman tandem of Philipp Mohr and Zinelabidine Jouini at the No. 3 spot each won by an 8-0 score.
In singles, Obama, Savi, Didavi, Jouini and Andrade all won in straight sets, while sophomore Josh Reasons cruised to a 6-0, 6-0, victory at the No. 6 position.
The Senators will return to action on Friday, when they take on Campbellsville University at 2 p.m., in the opening round of the AUM Spring Invitational at Lagoon Park.
