Lady Senators fall to No. 12 Florida Southern, 5-4

LAKELAND, Fla. - The No. 2 Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team fell to NCAA Division II No. 12 Florida Southern, 5-4, Tuesday at the FSC Courts.

With the loss, the Lady Senators fell to 10-3 overall, while FSC improved to 10-3 on the season.

AUM had a 2-1 advantage after the doubles portion of the match, as junior Ana Veslinovic and sophomore Morgane Zowczak won at the No. 1 position, and junior Kveta Hajkova and Alina Tseplukhova were victorious at the No. 2 spot. However, the Lady Mocs won by default at the No. 3 position.

In single play, Veselinovic and Zowczak won in straight sets, while Hajkova and Tseplukova fell in straight sets.

The Lady Senators will return to action on Wednesday, when they travel to Winter Park, Fla. to take on Rollins College. First serve is slated for 2:30 p.m.
